Kat Greenbrook’s talk at Outlier 2022 closes on a beautiful note.

“Next time you are visualising data, ask yourself what do I want my audience to feel. And the answer to that question might be nothing, and that is okay. Sometimes, people just need the numbers.

But if you want to motivate, persuade or influence… you may need to get people to feel a certain emotion. And that might be hard to do using only a graph.”
