The name Revisual came after a month long struggle of finding a name I felt excited about. Name after name, keywords, prefixes and suffix entered in to a notes file. After a point I stopped caring what the name would be. Aashish Kalra suggested Revisual at such a point.

It wasn’t AI generated :). I saw it was available as a domain and on social media platforms, so settled on it. More important was to start, since the work mattered more than the name. I liked Revisual. It was something that could be worked with. Then came Divya Ribeiro.

Divya was brought on board to do the identity design for RVL. We started with exploratory sketches that looked like these.

And eventually we settled on this. With the dot plotted on a line, Divya Ribeiro wanted to make a connection to data visualization.

The final Revisual Labs logo — a dot plotted on a line The final logo — simple, fresh, with character.

And that became this beautiful logo. Simple, fresh, with character. As soon as I saw the logo, it stopped being just a name. I started loving it.
